This whole fiesta started with a suitcase full of contraband tortillas. Every time our founder flew home from Texas, the carry-on was loaded with stacks of fluffy, authentic Texas tortillas for desperate friends and fam stuck with sad, store-bought discs.
After five years of tortilla smuggling, it hit: authentic Tex-Mex tortillas and spices shouldn’t stay locked behind state lines. So TX Tortilla was born — the only Texas brand bold enough to make fresh, authentic tortillas in San Antonio and ship ‘em straight to your door.

How long do the tortillas stay fresh?
Your tortillas roll out fresh and should hit the fridge right away to maintain freshness. They’ll stay fluffy for 2–3 weeks chilled, or up to 6 months frozen. Bonus: they freeze like champs and taste nearly identical after thawing. (No flat discs!)
How are the tortillas shipped?
Your tortillas? We don’t sit on ’em. (Gross. That would flatten them out.) Every order ships the same day they are made, packed tight, and sent USPS or UPS Ground. Most land on your doorstep in 2–3 days. Orders over $50? Free shipping, y’all.
The jig is up – these tortillas are more expensive than store-bought. Why?
The cardboard tortilla discs at the store are more affordable. But with us, you’re buying tortillas – authentic, fluffy, made-by-hand Texas tortillas backed by centuries of Tex-Mex know-how. These come from families who’ve been rolling dough and blending spices since before factory-made was a thing. And to be real…getting flavor and freshness like this usually means hopping in a car or jumping on a plane for a quick trip to TX. When you think about it, you’re really saving when you shop and ship your tortillas straight to your door. (We don’t make the rules).
What's the difference between your tortillas and store-bought?
Store-bought tortillas: lifeless, packed with preservatives, collecting dust on shelves for weeks.
